Fighter World Visit

On Tuesday the Penrith Squadron visited the Fighter World museum located near RAAF Williamtown, just north of Newcastle.

Fighter World is dedicated to preserving the proud history of Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) operations in the Newcastle and Hunter/New England regions and offers the chance to get up close to some of Australia’s most iconic military aircraft.

The cadets had a chance to learn about the many aircraft on display and had a tour provided by Mr Rod Leonard, a volunteer at Fighter World and Air League officer. They also had a chance to watch the BAe Hawk fighters of No. 76 Squadron RAAF flying and had a chance to fly the F/A-18 simulator themselves!

It was a great day, and the cadets can’t wait for the next opportunity!
