On Tuesday the cadets and parents of Penrith Squadron visited the Fighter World museum located in Williamtown NSW near the RAAF Williamtown base. The cadets learnt about a wide range of RAAF aircraft from the Gloster Meteor Mk8 through to the F-111. They also got to see some of the current F-35A Lightning aircraft operating….
At our recent parade night the cadets had the opportunity to put all of their theory training in to practise on the simulator, all of them enjoyed the simulator and most even safely landed after their flight!
We are currently planning a return to our regular face to face parade nights starting from Thursday, 23rd June 2020 – first week of Term 3. There are some action items to to through before then – so check here or your email for regular updates!
Currently the Australian Air League is unable to meet face to face due to COVID-19 restrictions, although the cadets of Penrith Squadron have been meeting every week online. For the last night of the year the Cadets, parents and friends of Penrith Squadron enjoyed a night of bowling and laser tag. On Thursday night (28th November) the Squadron will have a bowling night to mark the final parade night of 2019. We will be attending Penrith Zone Bowling at 62-72 Batt St, Jamisontown NSW 2750 at 7.30pm – don’t be late! Cost is $19.95 for 2 games and shoe hire – see you there!
