Welcome back to all our cadets for 2021! Our first parade night is on next Thursday 4th February. The NSW Group Review will be held in September, however we strongly suggest cadets start work on their Education Competition Entries now. 2020 was a year of challenges for all, yet despite all this the Penrith Boys Squadron finished the year on a high last night with annual Presentation Night held at Melrose Hall, Emu Plains. On Tuesday the cadets and parents of Penrith Squadron visited the Fighter World museum located in Williamtown NSW near the RAAF Williamtown base. The cadets learnt about a wide range of RAAF aircraft from the Gloster Meteor Mk8 through to the F-111. They also got to see some of the current F-35A Lightning aircraft operating….
At our recent parade night the cadets had the opportunity to put all of their theory training in to practise on the simulator, all of them enjoyed the simulator and most even safely landed after their flight!
We are currently planning a return to our regular face to face parade nights starting from Thursday, 23rd June 2020 – first week of Term 3. There are some action items to to through before then – so check here or your email for regular updates!
Currently the Australian Air League is unable to meet face to face due to COVID-19 restrictions, although the cadets of Penrith Squadron have been meeting every week online.
